The cross country runners rallied to the call with 21 at Halstead and a further 20 at Little Baddow.

June Allen stormed to victory in the 53-12 fixture at Gosfield School on what can only be described as a muddy course. In fifth was Nikki Brockbank who was an excellent second the previous week at Hadleigh and with Lauren Ashton, Kerry Marsh and Sarah Knowles the ladies finished a superb second. Paul Anderson and Stuart Raven led the men home in third spot which meant that the club secured a creditable third place in the league after struggling earlier in the season. The celebratory cup cakes including one monster were provided by team captain Kerry.

The Striders were second in both the men and ladies races at Little Baddow. Mark Waine and Tracey Alexandrou were the lead white and yellow vests on another successful day for the club.
